Baobab Cafe

A really trendy cafe with a great menu and coffee. They have really friendly staff and the perfect outdoor area for a summer day

Fantastic beer selection, great ambience and their mouth watering Gaucho burger left few chefs speachless. Apsolutely love the option of the cozy outdoor area too!

I have been here several times since moving to Newtown this year. I would definitely say it's the best cafe in Newtown currently. Baobab has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are super friendly and amazing. All the food that I've tried so far has been really delicious and they have a large range of cabinet food. The fact that they are very openly queer friendly also makes me feel extra safe when I go in there.

My favourite food from there to date would have to be the delicious banoffee cheesecake, I highly recommend it!

The scones here are great! They are HUGE especially for the price you get them for. We were told we could just ask for more butter too as they are so big. Would recommend. The coffee has been nice a few times I have been but other times it has also tasted quite watery and often makes me feel ill. There are also quite a few flies near the cabinet and also lots outside. Other than that, I would definitely recommend. Every person I've been to the cafe with has loved it!

Baobab has a cool ambience and great selection of counter food, a nice menu and great coffee. The outdoor area is a big asset for the cafe.
