We love this place which is not far from the city centre! Beautiful scene along the way. Entrance fee is cheaper for early birds. Love reading the family’s history which is so dramatic but sad. Happy to have another lovely family to restore the beauty of the castle!! Thanks! Love having a look at all the rooms with the guidance from the lovely map / brochure. Enjoy a lovely morning tea at the cafe/ tea house. I love Alice in Wonderland, because of a party hosted by the family, various characters and props / sets can be found in the garden. I also love the shop filled with beautiful / cute items. Love this very special space in the peninsula.

We've been here a few times now and it has never disappointed. The lady at the ticket booth was so kind and gave us the early bird price although we were slightly past the time. The castle and grounds were impressive as always and the cafe food was nice, though a little pricey.

Very cool historical location not too far out of the city! Castle is beautifully maintained and staff were friendly. Tickets are a little on the pricy side, but I would say worthwhile if you are a history buff.

One of the highlights of the Dunedin area. Magnificent views of the Harbour as well as the historic home itself.
