We have a non-fiction selection that covers a wide range of subjects - from science to business, history to religion and everything in-between. Our fiction sections are unsurpassed in the South Island and we carry a wide range of classic, contemporary and new writers. We stock all Otago university and polytechnic textbooks, and also have 2nd hand textbooks available for those studying at the University of Otago. Our dedicated textbook store at UBS On Campus is conveniently located in the OUSA Archway. For our younger booklovers we have the captivating Children¿s Room and Book Shop downstairs, with story-time on the magic carpet every Friday and Saturday at 10.30am. A lot of people may think this is a shop that only stocks University text books, but it is not. UBS has a big selection of titles for everyone of any ages, no matter what genre of books you’re into. It is a super cosy environment and pleasantly well presented. There isn’t a lot of free parking spots around; most of the of them are paid parking. Staff are friendly and helpful.
