Super welcoming and friendly. Down home cooking done well. Lovely outlook to the bay. The bacon and egg sanga was generous and delicious.

It may look a bit basic from the outside but the service, food and coffee are a treat to behold. We both had French toast accompanied by bacon, maple syrup and poached fruit. The latter just made the combo. Coffee was strong and well made.

A nice wee cafe for tradition kiwi food for a pie or roasted sandwich was on the menu when we visited. Not really much for special diets or cabnit food but it was getting on a winter afternoon when we visited so complety expected. Very welcoming hosts and the lady cooking was lovely popping out of the kitchen asking one of our group if he wanted cheese in his toastie since she had it out for the other one in our group he was keen! Toasties arrived nice and cheesy the pair . Coffee was well made as well, nice view of the bay topped it off. It was a lovely afternoon put stop.

super friendly staff. As a tea buff, I loved the range of leaf tea they had to offer! The food was good and the view overlooking Portobello was great. Charming with great ambience - will definitely go back next time I'm out on the peninsula!
