The Auckland War Memorial Museum

The Auckland museum has a good historical children's toy section, also has massive NZ history section if you're into that. The Domain grounds are beautiful to walk around too, definitely go to the wintergraden if you're having a stroll.

We also enjoy going to the seasonal exhibitions and evening 'Live!' sessions, I've found them to leave me thinking about the topics discussed for a few weeks after. Would recommend to both tourists and locals.

Wonderful museum for the whole family. Love their exploring science section for little ones as well as Maori history display. Was lucky to be able to see Kapa haha the last time I visited there.

Very good place to visit on a rainy day. Very interesting exhibits, which change every now and then. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is usually better on the weekday, but not impossible on the weekends.

We had a great time here, it was very educational and emotional, the sounds that are on audio really capture the emotion of what it could have possibly felt like.
Absolutely enjoyed the experience, and had our children with us too.

I always enjoy learning about history. This place has plenty of information and is informative. A nice day out for the family.
