      The museum always has some great exhibitions on over school holiday times. The LEGO exhibition is great - although not free, the kids really enjoyed it. They also love the volcano part of the museum as its interactive. Can spend hours walking around and reading.

      This is a beautiful museum! It’s structured so well so that you are not overwhelmed with information. Their special exhibits change and are always a nice surprise. The kid’s area and volcano room are awesome! This is one museum we go back to again and again and never get bored! Location is great too - by the domain, atop a hill giving you an amazing view of the city!

      Take a household bill with you that has your name and address on it if you live in auckland, and your entry is free! Lots of things to look at and learn from, loads of history to teach our youngins. Bring a picnic and enjoy a family picnic outside enjoying the views of harbour.
