My favourite place to go! I generally go atleast once a year. You can purchase food for the animals and trout as well as marshmellows to cook on the fire. Beautiful place. They also have a free tractor ride that goes through a river! . Great for kids or any animal lover. Springs the best time to go because of all the new baby animals. They have a cafe but you can also bring your own picnic. Careful in the deer park. The goats try to take your bag of food. A fun outing to spend hours!.
Animals youll see: ducks. Swans. Kia. Peacocks (even a white one). Guniea fowl. Chickens. Guese. Kune kune pigs. Sheep. Donkeys. Horses. Trout. Rabbits. Guinea pigs. Deer. Goats. Bulls. Turtles. An lots more!. If its wet wear gumboots!.

Attended a birthday party here yesterday in a roo. At the end of the cafe - great party highchairs provided for my two boys and lovely staff. The drive is slightly daunting and although it's only about 20km from Upper Hutt allow plenty of time and take it easy is a beautiful drive with some tight turns!

staglands has a large picnic area, where families can enjoy a relaxed lunch in a beautiful park surrounded by a stunning variety of animals

This far exceeded our expectations. The drive from Kapiti is hairy though, so recommend going in from the Hutt. Park really shows off the Kiwi bush, makes animal interactions fun and accessible. The tractor ride was a lovely little trip. Loved the picnic areas. We spent a good 3.5 hrs running after our toddler

A great place for a family outing. The kids love it. The animals are well cared for and prices are reasonable. Lots of parking.
