Matterhorn had some of the nicest food I have enjoyed in New Zealand & Great location and ambience. Excellent choice of food and drinks at competitive prices. Excellent service.

If you can think of a cocktail, these guys can make it! or just browse the very large cocktail book and pick. You cannot go wrong here

Cosy little bar that is somewhat of an Wellington icon. Has gone through a number of changes over the years, but still worth checking out for a cocktail, grab a seat in the outdoor area if you can.

Very popular spot which is well looked after and has plenty of seating. The drinks are pretty expensive, however that is ok as it attracts a more well behaved crowd. Friendly staff and good music.

Amazing food (their venison steak is to die for!!), and a wine list unsurpassed by any restaurant I've tried in the capital. Absolutely worth the trip.
