A beautifully designed building that would be a pleasure to walk through even if there wasn't art in it. The permanent collections are outstanding, most of the gallery is free, the shop has a great selection of books and treasures, and the staff are helpful and knowledgable.

Bautiful Art Gallery in Central city, always something on to go and see, the permanent collections are amazing to see aswell! A great asset to Auckland!

The gallery has always some exhibitions that changes. It is interesting and free. The location just next to the central library is great because it is easily accessible. I really like the modern art exhibit here.

Newly renovated Art Gallery is simply stunning. Much bigger than the old building, nice and modern but still retains some of the original architecture. Collections on display are very relevant to NZ, very interesting mix of modern and traditional art. Definitely worth a visit.
