Lone Star Gisborne

the atmosphere and setting of the Gisborne lone star is worth a 10/10, the service was okay staff were polite and friendly, the squid entree was devine, I have never eaten better squius anywhere. However the meal was a let down for me as I asked for a blue steak and I got a medium rare at best, the vegetables that accompanied it looked like something I'd feed to the chooks, the bourbon sauce that went with the steak was good, but i was disappointed in the meat. Had the service staff come back to see if everything was ok I would have sent it back however they did not so i ate a cold over cooked piece of steak and saved a piece of my "blue steak" to go back to the kitchen for the chef to comment........ they agreed it was far from blue. I MAY go back if only for the atmosphere and the squid.
