Lone Star Gisborne

Great family environment. Staff are very polite and consistent with there work. Food comes out in time but sometime hard to get a park at times. But the food is lovely and always tasty.

Big portions of food, staff approached me and partner very nicely, we had steak chips and eggs our meal was cooked to perfection with a side glass of beer.

the atmosphere and setting of the Gisborne lone star is worth a 10/10, the service was okay staff were polite and friendly, the squid entree was devine, I have never eaten better squius anywhere. However the meal was a let down for me as I asked for a blue steak and I got a medium rare at best, the vegetables that accompanied it looked like something I'd feed to the chooks, the bourbon sauce that went with the steak was good, but i was disappointed in the meat. Had the service staff come back to see if everything was ok I would have sent it back however they did not so i ate a cold over cooked piece of steak and saved a piece of my "blue steak" to go back to the kitchen for the chef to comment........ they agreed it was far from blue. I MAY go back if only for the atmosphere and the squid.

We went in for Mid Winter special and it was fantastic. Service was great and food was excellent. Thanks for a good evening
