Otago Museum

We spend a few hours here every time we are in Dunedin. Good central location. My son really loves the science area. Theres alot of different activities. We also really love the butterfly room. Entry is free but the extra exhibits you need to pay for. I do think it is slightly expensive.

The Otago Museum is an impressive museum to look at, from the outside; being made of Oamaru White Stone. Entry is free, but there are a couple of exhibitions and the planetarium, which costs to get in. You need an entire day to go around this amazing museum and its collections. It is close to the University of Otago. Highly recommended.

Went to the museum cafe for the first time in the weekend. coffee was great and they have really cool highchairs for my son, he loved being in it. The slices were a little dry but I'll be back to try others.

Wow we haven't been for a few years and are impressed by the improvements in the hands on science area. What a shame it is so expensive as we would love to come more often,

I like looking at the historical things in museum and human history. I went recently with family and had a good time. I think around 5 hours needed if exploring everything in museum and videos. A nice place for children as well .
