Paloma Bruce Singing Studio offers private singing lessons to professional/experienced singers and absolute beginners. Paloma teaches both male and female singers over the age of twelve years. Students study vocal technique based on the Italian-Swedish school which is adjusted to suit their style of music. Paloma teaches singers who sing opera/classical music, musical theatre, choral music, folk music, jazz, their own songwriting, indie music, pop and rock.

At Steps Performing Arts we are passionate about dance, theatre craft (Stage dance), musical theatre (combining singing, dance and drama) and tap dance (for children aged 3 upwards to adults) - we strive to instil the same love of dance and the theatrical in each and every student we teach! 

At Steps Performing Arts we enjoy and aim to develop the talents and skills of our students in all areas of dance, theatre craft (Stage dance), musical theatre and tap dance. Paula Harrison is a member of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and prepares the students for examinations, in which an international examiner from the UK attends to examine the students. As well as preparing for exams STEPS is proactive in working towards performances and talent competitions. Steps Performing Arts are also available to provide lessons for: Wedding dances (First dance), as well as, dance routines for Hen parties and milestone birthdays.

We set up shop in 1973, and since then have been supplying gifts, New Zealand souvenirs and items of interest. For clients wanting to liven up their special event we have portable jukeboxes, with karaoke options, available for hire.  We rent these to clients throughout the Far North region with a range of music options available from old-school 50s/60s through to Reggae and the Blues.  Each Jukebox includes 18 random play categories and a PA system, ideal for making speeches with in-between listening to people trying to sing!
