      The Village Bakehouse specialises in traditional French and speciality breads, fine pastries and brioches, French wedding cakes & gateaux, meat pies, savouries, quiches, biscuits, cookies, scones, muffins, filled rolls and sandwiches, and coffee to go. We also provide a range of gluten free breads, biscuits and gateaux, as well as made to order French treats such as Paris-Brests, flans, pate and quiche Lorraine. Our bakery is conveniently close to the University of Canterbury, College of Education, Burnside High School and Westburn School.

      Fantastic food and excellent service. Excellent sandwich loaves of bread, kiwi treats, as well as traditional French fare.
      Literally the best pie I've had in my life, and the staff are just as wholesome as the pies!
