      The Village Bakehouse specialises in traditional French and speciality breads, fine pastries and brioches, French wedding cakes & gateaux, meat pies, savouries, quiches, biscuits, cookies, scones, muffins, filled rolls and sandwiches, and coffee to go. We also provide a range of gluten free breads, biscuits and gateaux, as well as made to order French treats such as Paris-Brests, flans, pate and quiche Lorraine. Our bakery is conveniently close to the University of Canterbury, College of Education, Burnside High School and Westburn School.

      Great bakery with best French pastries. Friendly staff and outside seating area. Love that they have a pastry of the day. Parking busy. No toilets for public.

      Great for savory food. Their pies and filled rolls are fantastic, pastry on the pies is great. Price are reasonable. Must try places for their meat pies and sausage rolls.
