Smash Palace

We arrived on Thursday and it happened to be bike night and the motorbikes come right into the place. Even the vespas. The beer and food are great, service is very good. Every one is very friendly.

I love coming here on a night out! Plenty of seating (although mostly outside, not great if raining but there are umbrellas) and the bar is in an old bus. Staff are great and even charged my phone for me one night when it died unexpectedly! Good old school music you can hear yourself talk over

I love this place. It’s such a good place to grab a drink in the sunshine. It’s got a good selection of beer and is in a great location. We’ll be back over summer for sure.

One of the greatest drinking spots in CHCH city. Really friendly staff, good drinks selection and very cool set up in what would otherwise be a pretty miserable location. Highly recommended!

I love this place. It’s got such a good vibe to it and it’s a very funky set up. It was so clever to use the environment the way they have after the earthquakes. The beer selection is good and the bar staff are friendly. I’d highly recommend it if your looking for a good watering hole. Better in summer though.
