Trade Tested

I ordered a shed from these guys one Friday evening. Having realised I got the size wrong, I called them and emailed Fri/Sat/Sun. On Monday I was told they shipped it because no one checked the messages (Bullsuit) ... That cost me $1290 in freight.

I was then told the kit had been returned by both TradeTested and Toll.

Many calls and many lies later ...

6 weeks later I still don't have a refund because they cannot find the kit. I didn't ship it, touch it or return it ... how is this my problem ?

THESE GUYS ARE DODGY .... AVOID THEM !!!

I had previous experience of Trade Tested which was good, so had no hesitation in buying a large product for $700, in December 2019. When it arrived and did not match the spec we contacted them and they invesitgated and areed it was not fit for purpose. 6 months later and countless emails, putting things out for collections that never happened and we are still out of pocket for what is a lot of money - with no collection organised. They are too focussed on new sales and now have a rubbish after sales service. will update if they fix their issue else will have all the lost time and pain of having to goto the commerce commission to get money back. NOT RECOMMENDED. Painful as.

Well below expectation. Head line for the warranty was "Everything we sell comes with a minimum 12 month parts and labour warranty. No mention that is doesnt apply to trade use. The motor failed after 10 hours and Trade tested dont want to know. Buyer be warned.

Prospective buyers beware!

We purchased a keta playhouse with a slide for our grandchildren in early december so we could have the item delivered prior to christmas .

That was just the beginning of a long sorry tale

When the unit did arrive i began assembly
There were major splits in the plastic of "two" large components (slide section and step section)

I photographed the defects , copied out of the instruction sheet to show them the relevant parts and rung them
They said that a replacement of the two parts would arrive shortly

Then i was contacted by another team member who said they would replace the entire set (which made sense) and told me to pack it all up for a pick up and entire replacement

They then changed their minds and sent just one of the two replacement parts despite the earlier information sent

The part they did send also had a large split in the plastic. !

I told them i had had enough and wanted my money back and they could pick up the unit

Eventually they refunded the cost

They told me several times that they would pick it up,

They then changed their minds and told me i had to dispose of it myself

I told them i did not want to incur trailer hire and tip fees

They then came back and said they would arrange to pick it up

I am still waiting !!

There is clearly systemic management failure , conflicting information , different people each time, no follow through at all, and no timelines given

An appalling company to deal with
