      Wonderful place to see and learn a lot. Great exhibits and it's easy to spend a good few hours.

      The surrounding grounds are also lovely to enjoy in good weather.

      There's no better place to spend a cold wet winter's day than the Auckland museum. Free for Auckland residents with proof required upon entrance. Plenty of free parking outside or paid covered ones beneath the building. Great place to kill some time with baby. Mine was lucky and fell asleep inside.

      Auckland War Museum is great, we visited when the 75 Years of Air New Zealand display was on. We loved it how admission was free for New Zealand Residents and the staff were helpful and nice. The museum taught us a lot about New Zealand and its history. Cafe is a little expensive though.
