Middlemore Hospital

Mom got admitted second time in the same week, however this Sunday hospital emergency, assessment center and surgical ward were not busy. All nurses, volunteers, doctors were very efficient and helpful. Got it all done in 3 hours with almost no waiting time. Very good service!

Other than hospital getting tired and needing a makeover. Some staff are so rude and unwelcoming... Patient attendants or visitors are not treated well in East Ward 32 on level 4. Fix these attitude of nurses! A nurse kept saying why is your mom (patient) so sensitive? Other patients are bedridden and still are okay to be pricked with needles again and again. Beware of permanent nurses in Ward 32 on level 4.

The nurses and doctors here are wonderful and they have it hard. The wait times are terrible even at 3am. Our health system needs a major overhaul and Middlemore needs to be expanded and modernised so it can cope with Aucklands growing population.

I've been in developing nations so I am ok with a crown level of cleanliness lacking. But for a country as advanced as ours I an saddened by the state of middlemore, the cleanliness, the food service, even the pressure of staff making them irritable is just unacceptable.

No probs with treatment here, wait time was reasonable and doc was pleasant and didn't rush you through.
