Good service, cosy interior and great ambience.All dishes were pretty good including the seared beef, the tiger prawns and the scallop roll. But the star of the show was definitely the Nikkei steak. It was unbelievably tender and juicy, it literally just melts in your mouth.It is worthy as your money.Highly recommended.

We were seated at the counter without menus and then seemingly forgotten about, no one came to see us for quite a while and then when we did eventually get a chance to order some wine it was another long wait before we got it. The food was really good, my favourite was definitely the spicy tuna roll - so delicious, and they used a cool machine to spray the soy on top!

I dined in heaven with finally getting to discover this highly raved about restaurant in Ponsonby, specialising in Peruvian Nikkei cuisine. A few friends have dined there and I’ve enviously listened to retelling of exquisite dishes.

We conveniently found back of building free parking and warmly greeted by each server as we made our way to front of house. Our waitress was highly impressive in her hospitality skills measured en par with her passion and enthusiasm for the food with her knowledge of the dishes, so I felt comfortable with her recommendations.

Trying the Umeshi plum wine varietals, we started with the seared octopus on mash which was simply heavenly and my favourite dish, followed by the karaage chicken with chilli mayo, volcano prawn and chilli roe sushi, the pork belly with sesame salad which was exceptional and then the chicken ginger dumplings.

All of the dishes were delicious however there were outstanding plates. I’m anticipating my next visit, however be sure to make a reservation as they are mostly busy and you learn why quickly. Dining excellence!

We ordered fried chicken, seared beef, beef short rib and tiger prawn tempura. All with exceptional quality. Seared beef is superb. Service is friendly and fast. Will definitely come back to try sushi and sashimi. High recommend.

The food was amazing and the interior is so cool. The sparkling Sake jelly drinks are beautiful. Definitely go there again.
