Auckland Memorial Park is located on 17 hectares (35 acres) of prime rural land surrounded by pasture. Set in a natural amphitheatre looking north-east towards the Hauraki Gulf, it occupies a spot of supreme natural beauty. This natural beauty has been enhanced by a multi-million dollar programme of landscaping. 

A series of terraces sweeps up the enclosing hillsides, ensuring that every burial plot offers views of the sea and surrounding countryside, or is situated close to the tranquility of the watergardens. At the Park's hub lies 4 hectares (10 acres) of lakes and gardens, providing the perfect setting in which to stroll or simply sit and contemplate. The whole Park is planted with trees and shrubs, not only for their beauty but to encourage birdlife.

Service and Reception Facility In response to public demand the park recently opened a Service & Reception Facility enabling families to hold a on-site service to accompany a burial. 

The facility is suitable for funeral services and as a lounge for guests to gather after the service. There is also a private viewing room. Seating 90 comfortably or up to 130 standing the facility is available seven days a week. Community groups can use the area for appropriate functions.
