I really enjoyed the pools and was pleasantly surprised by the after 4pm discount they offer. I did notice a marked lack of clocks but other than that I thought it was good value and the pools were so relaxing.
Nice for a day trip with either friends or family, especially on a fine day. Crowds can be an issue, so be prepared to arrive early or off school holiday season. Best to bring plenty of sunblock, own snacks and picnic foods, bottles of iced lemon water is a great idea. Staff are generally helpful. Good idea if you search for coupon deals for entry though.
The kids really enjoy this place. Very pricey for what it is though, most of the slides I remember as a child have disappeared and the place is looking a little neglected and outdated. In saying that the children still love it and they are currently doing an upgrade. Cant wait to check it out once its completed!
I went here with friends and once with school. Although its alot of fun it tends to get overcrowded (well at least on the occasions I was there) its quite run down but I have heard rumours that its getting a bit of a make over which I hope is true.
good fun to be had here the area is large and love the fact you can bring your own food cook a bbq or have a picnic the cafe is ok also staff are great, slides are good and a decent height .good fun for young and old alike
I have been here twice and a nice way to spend time with friends and also get along with each other and liked how there was a place to eat as well. I liked the long drive and you can relax and chat to each other which is nice so that you don't get bored. I would recommend this to others and see if you can go on the deal site book me and see if any cheap rates so that you save money in the process.
Love the half price after 6pm. The area is huge you can take your own food in and set up picnic at one of the many tables available. Staff are friendly, The cafe is a little expensive. Overall it is a lovely place to take the kids.
Great pools for families, or even if you just wanted to get a way for a day and relax. It does get quite busy at times, but the facilities are huge, that you dont notice the number of people there. Slide facilities, a heated pool, a childrens pool, lots to do here!!!
I went there yesterday as recommended by one of my cousins. Had relly high expectation but got really disappointed when we actually went there. I dont feel paying $30 is worth it at all. The pools are not maintained properly, there is no properly tiling surface on the bottom of the pool. Its all concrete besides the movie pool. My husbands feet got cut from the rough edges at the bottom. Very disappointing Saua wasn't free compared to West Wave and Papatoetoe Pools, whereby its so cheap and Sauna is all incl. Surely waste of $60
One of the best places for a relaxing day and lot of fun. The slides, while only really having two decent ones, are a lot of fun. The movie pool is an awesome place to chill after a long day of swimming around.
