I was really excited to go get my hair done using one of their vouchers (first client blonde makeover) bought online. Ill start by how I was overcharged an extra $20 for an Opalex treatment I had already paid for online. (Be careful of this).
The hairdresser seemed confident and it looked like he knew what he was doing. He started adding foils to my hair, which he didn't quite close properly and a couple of the foils closer to my ear slipped and the bleach on my hair transferred to my face and neck. An assistant cleaned this up for me but did nothing to fix the foils so the whole time I was sitting in an awkward position and no one in sight to come check on me. The hairdresser kept telling me he was excited to the see the end result! So I had a good feeling about this at the time. To my disappointment, the end result was a very messy look of yellow/gold and orange. And nothing about it made me feel like it was a good look. Nothing close to what I expected at all. Now I know the first result of going blonde is not always perfect but I have had my hair done at other salons, going blonde first time and it has NEVER turned out like this. The hairdresser did not want to tone my hair again even though I was willing to pay extra as I did not want to be seen like this in public or at work, (working in a professional environment). The hairdresser kept trying to tell me my hair looked fine and it really didn't. I asked a few of my friends when I got home and they were mega disappointed. Not only did the hairdresser tell me he didn't have time to fix, or add colour to it for the time being, he promised to call and make an appointment to have this fixed the next week, (apparently he couldn't make an appointment right there and then as he was all booked out).. But the call never came. I am really disappointed by the service I received. I know for a fact, had I gone to another hair salon, they would have fixed my hair, tended to me, worked on making me happy before proceeding to start on someone else's hair. Falsely comforting me and getting a "second opinion" from another hair stylist who also tried to tell me it looked okay and to leave it as the hairdresser had no time anyway? I left a very unhappy customer. And I think it is safe to say I will not be going back there again. I guess what you pay is what you get. Although, you would think if you were paying $300 for getting your hair, you would expect getting atleast half a decent job. I don't want to name and shame the hairdresser .. More of an attempt to get this place to work on making their customers happy before booting them out of the door.
