Andrew Falloon became the MP for Rangitata in the 2017 general election.
In Parliament he sits on the economic development, science, and innovation select committee and is the National Party¿s spokesperson for South Island regional development.
The Rangitata Electorate which Andrew represents extends from just north of Ashburton through to Timaru and includes Methven, Mayfield and Hinds in Mid Canterbury and Temuka, Winchester and Pleasant Point in South Canterbury.
Andrew has electorate offices in both Timaru and Ashburton and regularly holds constituent clinics at both offices and in other smaller communities throughout the electorate.
A fourth generation Ashburtonian, Andrew was born and raised in the Rangitata electorate. He graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Prior to the 2017 election, Andrew worked in banking and farming and was a Senior Advisor to the last National Government.
He lives at Pleasant Point, near Timaru, with his wife Rose.
