Lisa McKimm should be a national treasure - I owe so much to this beautiful woman and the gifts her vibrant, wise and joy-filled Spirit has brought into my life, and the life of my family. Lisa also has the ability to bring in the most beautiful people to work with her!! I cannot recommend Lisa and the ParentingWorx team highly enough.
We attended a ParentingWorx course 13 years ago and are still using the skills we learned back then. Even though our daughters are now teenagers it is all still relevant. Being a parent is hard work and you need a lot of tools to do a good job. Lisa McKimm can give you those tools, she certainly did for us.
I personally came to know Lisa McKimm and Parenting Worx in 2003 when my son was 2 years old and diagnosed with Autism. I was determined not to parent like I was and attended her workshops to learn how to ensure my son had all he required from me.
I had the pleasure of attending 2 Parenting Worx workshops over the past 10 years which were fabulous.
Lisa delivers up to date information and ideas for parenting in to-days fast paced world. Her workshops are entertaining as well as including many " A-HA" moments as I see my situation reflected in her examples. I have always come away inspired and excited to try new ideas.
Lisa and her staff have been easy to reach and a pleasure to work with during one on one sessions for myself and for my family (my son). They are very knowledgeable, open minded and FUN, which makes such a difference. Parenting in to-days society is hard enough but it doesn't have to be a task. Lisa helped me see that I could parent effectively without losing myself in the process. As my son became older he has had many one on one sessions with Lisa and the outcome has been wonderful.
I highly recommend attending a workshop even if its just to fire up the passion once more. I have used Parenting Worx every year for one on one sessions to help with different stages of development. My son is on the Autism Spectrum and I have to say that Lisa has always kept me grounded and on track, my son is proof of her wisdom that children need to be children regardless of any special needs. She has helped guide us in the right direction and added sunshine and humor to an otherwise daunting experience for my son when having his first counselling session with her. My son will now request time with Lisa when he needs too.
Parenting Worx has provided the "village" in the saying "it takes a village to raise a child" for my family of 2 when there has been no other family members to support our journey.
Thank you Lisa
