Pandoro's first came to my attention in the 90's when I was living in Parnell. It set the standard for artisen bread stores and this tradition continues at their Dominion Road location. It is a very busy store (particularly in the mornings and after school) where assorted workers, walkers and locals chill, chat or read a paper while their mochachino's and lattes are being brewed. The bread is excellent and I love the various sourdough varieties (hard to find good sourdough in Auckland). The Italian sausage rolls are also a treat for kids and adults alike. The staff are a little bit alt country meets pacifica (small village friendly with small island relaxed vibe). It is a really big part of the Eden Village community scene and a congregation spot for the assorted personalities that make up this very quirky part of Auckland.
