The Oxford Town Hall was built in 1931 and the facility was upgraded and re-opened on Thursday 19 February 2015 after earthquake strengthening and a complete rebuild of the A&P Room, kitchen and storeroom area

The main hall features a stage and a large open polished wooden floor area, including a sizeable mezzanine floor with tiered seating. The main hall has a full digital cinema system and can accommodate up to 230 theatre style, with a further 70 seats in the mezzanine floor. The newly built link space connects a separate meeting room (the A&P Room) and a spacious kitchen. The A&P Room can be booked separately for smaller functions or events providing space for up to 100 people. 

The hall regularly plays host to regular movie showings, craft markets and used by local community groups, service organisations, schools and is also a popular destination for Weddings. The buildings well featured facilities and grounds make it a inviting venue for a wide range of events, shows and functions
