We are located in Marahau at the southern end of the Abel Tasman National Park which is renowned for its golden beaches, sculptured granite cliffs, and its world-famous coastal track. The track starts at Marahau and Totaranui and also provides access to the Inland track system. We have a mild climate and is a good place to visit at any time of the year. At 22,530 hectares Abel Tasman is New Zealand's smallest national park. It's located at the top of the South Island; the nearest towns are Kaiteriteri, Motueka, Takaka and Nelson City.
There are regular and on-demand bus services to Marahau from local towns and from Nelson as well as a launch and water taxi services based in Marahau.
Craig, Lyn, Doug and Sean Macdonald welcome you into their home - 100 acres nestled in the Marahau Valley just 400 metres from the Abel Tasman National Park. Old Macdonalds Farm and Holiday Park has camping grounds, barbecues, natural fresh water swimming holes, farm land, relaxing bush walks, a farm park, an al fresco style cafe on site, Llama and Alpaca and lots of other animals, and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
