The National Foundation For The Deaf focus on breaking down barriers for people with hearing loss. We encourage all New Zealanders to protect and preserve their hearing.
We give practical support to thousands of people around New Zealand, on every kind of hearing issue.
We put people in contact with our member organisations, government departments, and agencies. We actively promote the rights, interests and welfare of the one in six New Zealanders with hearing loss.
We offer people support to communicate effectively, live positively and achieve to their potential.
We collaborate with people who are deaf; or hard of hearing, and with professionals in our sector to address issues affecting human rights and quality of life. We also work to address noise-induced hearing loss, and to promote prevention.
We rely significantly on the generosity of the public to achieve our goals. To support our goals and to read about our support, prevention and advocacy programmes, please visit our website; or call us today.
What makes us different?
