Kinderhaven is a mixed-age centre run by a great team of teachers who have exceptional skills and care for what they do. For more than 10 years, Kinderhaven has provided quality care and education for children aged 2 to 5 years. Our family friendly atmosphere means not only do the children feel loved and cared for, but meaningful relationships are built between the centre and each childâs family/whanau.
Our centre offers the government 20 hours free scheme and both full day and sessional spaces are available. For children doing the 20 free hours, morning sessions are from 8am to 12pm and our afternoon sessions are from 1pm to 5pm. The cost for up to five sessions for three and four year olds is only $10 a week. Full days are from 7.15am â 6pm and cost as little as $125 per week. For those with two year olds, contact us for a list of prices and hours for sessions and full days. You may also find you are eligible for a WINZ subsidy.
We have a great team of dedicated, exceptionally skilled staff made up of qualified teachers and energetic teachers in training. We also have two Mandarin speaking teachers. The centre maintains a ratio of no more than seven children to each teacher, which is favourably compared with the Ministry of Educationâs required ratio of one teacher to ten children.
As our backyard is very big, our outdoor area provides children with the space to run around, play on the swings and ride our trikes, allowing them the freedom to be kids. At Kinderhaven we believe children learn best when they feel safe and secure, and when they are having fun. So providing this kind of environment is a priority for us. Every child has their own portfolio of learning and development which is given to the child when they go to school. The photos, observations and artwork are a special reminder of their time at Kinderhaven.
For more information about the centre feel free to come in and visit us. One of our friendly staff will be more than happy to show to show you around and answer any questions you may have. Alternatively, you can phone or email us if you would like to know more.
