The food was a surprise to my limited palette but so tasty and spicy. Being a Caribbean native this was perfect for me. We took lots of pics and my son, who enjoys cooking himself, got a chance to meet the executive chef and owners. This made his day!
My partner and I are regulars at iVillage due to the incredible service and delicious food. Sam is our regular waiter and is always so attentive. They take the time to discuss the menu with you in a way that isn't annoying or invasive. Prawn malabari is a favourite and the peshwari naan is incredible. Love coming here for special occasions and sharing the experience with friends and family.
its an Indian restaurant of one of its kind, more of an Indo western fusion restaurant, and its location at Victoria street as well as the unique signature decor just doubles the fun of dining. It is pricey though, but the prices justify to what you get served on your plates
We decided to eat here after reading other reviews. They were right! This place is delicious. My wife loves Indian cuisine and has eaten it all over the world (except India). I am fairly new to Indian cuisine, but everything we had was delicious and the tastes had quite a bit of depth to them.
Great Indian restaurant in the heart of Auckland. Traditional North Indian dishes served fresh and hot. The Naan bread was delicious. Such lovely and genuine staff with a warm welcome making it a great atmosphere- suggestions on what to order and to what heat it should be enjoyed.
We had one of our favorite meals. It probably has to rate as the best Indian restaurant we have ever frequented. Most Indian restaurants are very good, but they often all seem the same after a while. Good but not gourmet great. definitely breaks the mold. It is Indian food with a gourmet twist. This is most likely going to be a step-up from the Indian restaurants you are used to. We were able to find multiple dishes that conform with our non-animal product eating ways. All of the dishes had rich flavor with great depth.
Food is good and decor is lovely...good place to take your Non-Indian friends here....but wait...service time is long. If you want your meal delivered fast - then this is not a place to go! I have been there few times, and every time same experience - lovely food with long service time!!
If you want to take your friends out for dinner to a fancy indian restaurant, this is the place.. well located and nice ambience.
Food is good and presentation is amazing.. bit pricey though.
Lamb shanks keema is a delight.. kheer for dessert is a no no..
IVillage is my favourite Indian restaurant in Auckland. The food is delicious and there is a great selection - more than just the standard butter chicken, and rogan josh those these can still be found on the menu. The waiters are really friendly and more than happy to recommend dishes. Each time we go we order something different and have never been disappointed.
Have scored down half a point purely because I can't stand the name they have given to the restaurant - iVillage... it really doesn't fit the ambience of the place.
