Very bad service here, went here for a replacement belt and the salesperson did not even blink or assist in any way. Was told to call tomorrow and provided other lame excuses
This store is the only service outlet and I left here feeling devalued. It is a poor example of how a business should be run.
Went in to buy a cheap vacuum, all I needed was something that worked. Told the sales person who came over to help me, that I was wanting to buy the cheapest vacuum. He ended up redirecting me towards a $1000 vacuum that I could get on a Q-card! I re-iterated that I only wanted a cheap one, I wasnt interested in 3 months worth of grocery money on a damn vacuum. He didnt listen and kept pushing me to buy this vacuum. Ended up leaving with my money and no vacuum.
Went in to buy a $100 one. They didn't even bother to show me how it worked. But were wanted me to buy a $300 one! Then when they got me interested they said it was going to be more to service it. So I end up pay alot more. They said I can return it within ten days and when I rang to return it she talks me out of it and makes out i can return it anytime and get money back. But when I did they said No! I can't. They also said when I was in the shop if I don't buy it the price will go up. Liars! A month later it didn't go up but down $150. The machine was not easy to clean silly small slit in the mouth you couldn't take it off to clean. I won't recommend these people they are Pushy with the sales tactics! Then say it was your choice so cant give your money back. But it was not my choice my choice was to buy the $100 one not the $330 one! The only time I have to go into the shop is to get it service which they said to. But apart from that I will not buy or give them any more money. They don't tell you everything and keep back alot. I rather buy from The WareHouse
Great range of vacuums and other products at really good pricing. Customer/sales representatives are really friendly and helpful but they do try to sell you the most expensive vacuums or sell you extras to go with your purchase - but otherwise fine if you can so no to all the extras.
Went in to this store on Saturday to buy a new Vacuum cleaner head and found the head that would be suitable for us - stated to the store assistant that we only needed the head as we have a Nilfisk which we are happy with, about to pay for the head and the store assistant asks if we have tried a power head - thinking it was just a different type of head we said "No, we haven't" - before we know it we are getting a full demonstration of a brand new $500 vacuum - yes, vacuum - NOT a "head". We just found these sales tactics a real put off especially when we stated we only wanted a head and the head that we had decided on was already up on the counter, never at any stage did we say we wanted a whole new vacuum. Will not return to Godfrey's again with pushy sales tactics like this. Disappointed!
As a side note, a few people I know who have purchased vacuum's from Godfrey's have had bad experiences where their vacuum's do not serve the purpose or end up not working within about 6 months of purchasing it. I have also purchased two carpet cleaners from here and both of them actually made my carpets look worse.
I went to the Pukekohe godfreys as i wad looking to buy a new vacuum. The sales rep was very friendly and they sell you a vacuum with a two year warranty.
the vacuum was a vax upright air, small and compact . a small clip broke about 6 months later so I returned to pukekohe Godfreys to get it fixed but they wanted to charge me $50 for a replacement part when i only needed a clip.
You can forget the warranty because they always find some excuse to say why the problem is covered and then try to charge you an extortionate amount to fix a vacuum that is only 6 months old.
poor service and the company is not interested in looking after loyal customers.
I emailed Godfreys and vax nz and still waiting for a reply and clip.
