This place is horrible.. i have been invited here twice with two groups of friends, i reluctantly went the second time hoping that the terrible experience on my first visit was an isolated incident by one incompetent staff member but it seems that this is not the case after visiting a second time this weekend.
They have this system whereby the staff can remotely control the speed of your go-kart, they say this is to prevent dangerous driving. In theory, one could maybe see the benefits of this, but hey, we are here to race, and how fair is it really if some are racing at one speed and others at another.
The problems extends further that the staff keep pushing the wrong buttons and making the wrong karts slow down.
The first time i went, on numerous occasions, either people who were driven into were slowed down rather than the person making contact, or in some cases, people casually driving along suddenly had their karts slowed down as the staff repeatedly pushed the wrong button. This eventually because so unbearable that many people gave up and opted not to continue… Quite unfortunate given that we pay $65 each and they would not refund our money due to the ill trained staff member ruining our fun.
This weekend, we had a similar experience and once again, some of us just gave up and never even finished racing but rather just walked off the track.
My thoughts are if you want these fancy remote controls to slow karts down, make sure the staff are trained properly on how to use them, or rather just can the whole idea as it really does ruin the fun of it.
You have got to try this. Best date ever: my husband took me here and I was a little nervous - not about driving but about winning! I got great instruction and did well! They even have a women's league. Can not describe how fun this was. Best part is these carts are electric - very very fast response, quiet, and no fumes.
