They have failed delivery twice, the first time is because they could not find the entrance, and the second time is after we arranged for redelivery, and was told it would be coming we waited outside for them for 5 hours, only to find out they weren't coming because they had "run out of time". And the only reason we found out is because we were ringing them every hour, they only told us at 5pm. The customer service was rude and disrespectful.
Obviously our cousins across the ditch are having the exact same problems as us in Oz. This company is an absolute joke. I spent 20 years in logistics here in Australia supplying 6 continents on the planet. These guys have no idea how to deliver & don't care. It is obvious that their business practice is to attempt a delivery but leave a card instead, hence allowing them to speed off to the next delivery doing the exact thing time & time again. Despite repeated customer requests to organise re-delivery they simply ignore said request to force customers to pick up the parcel they have paid to have 'delivered'. Win, win for Fastway - minimum input for minimum output! I would rate this mob zero stars if I could. Stay right away from Fastway & INSIST to the company you are buying from that they DO NOT use them.
The WORST courier service I've experienced right from the collection of the item through to delivery.
Driver collected it and then left it in his van overnight adding an additional days delay.
When the item arrived in Auckland, they then handed it on to another courier company (Courier Post), despite the delivery address being in a standard metro area, and their website confirming they have a number of couriers who cover the area (Highbrook). This was due to add another day before I got my parcel.
Given it was an urgent part, I couldn't wait that long and yet Fastway 'customer services' didn't give a toss. Didn't call me back despite several promises, and then told me to track my item directly with CP.
I can accept things do go wrong, but can't accept their extremely poor customer service - they weren't interested in trying to assist me one bit.
I got far more assistance from Courier Post, despite not having a relevant CP ticket number (Fastway told me I could just use the Fastway ticket number which is rubbish).
If I'd known the trouble I was in for, I'd rather have driven to Hamilton and got it myself. Would rather use CP, or any other courier company that cares, rather than use Fastway again.
Appalling customer service. Lost parcel for over a month but the local branch wellington treat me like Im a hassle. Say they will call back but dont. I have not even been offered a refund. I strongly recommend others use a different Courier Service as Fastways do not deliver in any way.
Noone cares. Product was weant to be delivered b4 xmas, which it was and someone signed Lucky for it, meaning that noone bothered to check the id on delivery of over $200 worth massive box. And the end it turned out that the "box was send back to sender" sounds like loads of bull. Why whould they sign for it and keep telling me that someone received it. From stories from my mates, im not the first one whos parcel got missing with Fast Way #noway
Although I have used this company for years, have always had good couriers, find customer service great in general. I must point out that they have major issues with rural delivery, more to the point the stickers, you buy the stickers, I realized now (after years) that you often get charged twice for these RD stickers as they do not stick to satchels and easily come off. I advised fastway about this a year ago and still the stickers are the same quality (I now cellotape them on & get a fraction of 'missed' RD charges. makes me wonder how much I have paid over the years as I never used to check them. strongly advise checking any RD charges as there is a chance you will be charged twice,
Full of crap, They do not come for pickups, Even if you drop package to there depot they do not scan it for days. It just sucks that you can't do anything about these courier companies.
This was my last parcel with Fastway, I will not repeat the same mistake again.
The WORST courier company I have ever had to deal with! Their customer service staff are passive agressive, never get back to you or take ownership for their mistakes and appalling rough handling of merchandise has led to a ridiculous number of breakages. Never, ever use them.
The Absolute worst courier company I've used for my business, and I've used 4 different companies over the past 7 years! From regularly breaking goods getting sent to charging me for services not delivered!! This is a very serious matter which I've reported to Consumer Affairs, took months to cancel my contract with them and get money back for tickets I already paid for but didn't use. If you use these guys, I strongly suggest you check every single Rural Delivery Charge they bill you for, 90% of mine were BOGUS!

Called customer service who were rude then claimed the driver was almost here and he is known for doing this - marking items as delivered before they are to meet deadlines. Next day its still not here and no one has any idea of previous conversations. DO NOT USE THESE CLOWNS.
These guys are cake always home and they always leave a card to say come pick up or be redelivered. What is the point 1 time i was sitting in my car chucks a card in my letter box and drives off. They do it every frigging time Don't use them.
My experiences with them has always been bas so that I now wont buy from online stores which use this courier. My last parcel was attempted to be delivered twice without a card being left and 10 days apart (the 2nd time 4 weeks after I ordered the item), so I didn't know and couldn't ring to arrange delivery. I was then rang to pick up the parcel and they refused to deliver a 3rd time. The girl on the phone was not the least bit sympathetic to my complaint and didn't put me through to the supervisor of the drivers.
Bought some toner on Sunday, needed urgently, shipper despatched on Monday morning by same-day delivery. Tracker says left on steps, on Monday afternoon, but nothing received. Tracking will take 5 days! Useless... I need my delivery now, not in a week - if at all.
I feel a bit torn writing this review because our local driver is wonderful, he's a great guy & sometimes will even pick up 3 times a day, also the vast majority of our packages have been delivered very efficiently, our customers even remark about this in reviews.
Our first major issue was a missing parcel in April (which has never turned up) it took about 10 days to investigate before we could put in a claim- we could only claim for the wholesale value of the parcel so wasn't reimbursed for the loss of sale. After numerous emails chasing up we still hadn't received payment by mid June, then they emailed in July saying it had been deposited & fwd the account number- it was the wrong bank, after chasing up again they fwd another number they deposited into which was the wring suffix- so we now finally have been paid.
This week they have sent a parcel to the wrong house (and couldn't recover it), i have sent a replacement as the customer needed it urgently (auckland to shore) and found through tracking that the parcel was misdirected to Hawkes Bay. It has now been delivered.
The same week we also have a parcel sent to Wellington when it was supposed to be in Christchurch. I've been on hold for over 50 minutes today & over the last few months will have wasted a few hours chasing up.
Another issue we have (not sure if this is standard among couriers) but they charge RD for some non RD addresses, like the main street of Waihi. Smaller towns they subcontract out.
It would make a difference if someone had called or apologised, which I'm having to do with our customers with missing parcels!
I feel sorry for the staff they have they do try to help & are being let down by others.
CHECK EVERY SINGLE CHARGE FROM FASTWAY, I GUARANTEE YOU HAVE BEEN CHARGED AND HAVE PAID FOR SERVICES THEY DID NOT DELIVER, RURAL DELIVERY CHARGES ESPECIALLY!!!
If you have an account with these guys, I HIGHLY recommend you check every single charge they send you, over the past year they have blatantly charged our company account for services they didn't deliver!! This happened more than 12 times that we know of so far, we are busy investigating it all now and we're sure we will find more.
We want to cancel all our business with them, and even though they have been Dishonest and we have proof that they were, they still refuse to credit us for our unused tickets.
Can't believe this companies policies. When an item arrives damaged but has been signed for, they won't accept a damage claim!
My item arrived damaged, Fastways had even acknowledged the damage they had done to the item themselves with a pink claims endorsement form taped to the parcel. Stating the details of the damage and incident. But because the item had been signed for on my behalf they wouldn't accept a damage claim!
What if an item arrived, was signed for but had concealed non visable damage? Only becoming apparent once unpackaged. Oh no sorry it's been signed for? Lol! What a joke!
Have been informed by other courier companies that they accept damage claims regardless of being signed for or not. Based on the fact that quite often the item needs to be unpacked and inspected to determine the condition after transit.
Good on ya Fastways! Way to own up to your mistakes.. I understand that everyone makes mistakes but following through and rectifying them goes a long way!
First and last time using and won't be sending people your way either...
