Bought some toner on Sunday, needed urgently, shipper despatched on Monday morning by same-day delivery. Tracker says left on steps, on Monday afternoon, but nothing received. Tracking will take 5 days! Useless... I need my delivery now, not in a week - if at all.
I feel a bit torn writing this review because our local driver is wonderful, he's a great guy & sometimes will even pick up 3 times a day, also the vast majority of our packages have been delivered very efficiently, our customers even remark about this in reviews.
Our first major issue was a missing parcel in April (which has never turned up) it took about 10 days to investigate before we could put in a claim- we could only claim for the wholesale value of the parcel so wasn't reimbursed for the loss of sale. After numerous emails chasing up we still hadn't received payment by mid June, then they emailed in July saying it had been deposited & fwd the account number- it was the wrong bank, after chasing up again they fwd another number they deposited into which was the wring suffix- so we now finally have been paid.
This week they have sent a parcel to the wrong house (and couldn't recover it), i have sent a replacement as the customer needed it urgently (auckland to shore) and found through tracking that the parcel was misdirected to Hawkes Bay. It has now been delivered.
The same week we also have a parcel sent to Wellington when it was supposed to be in Christchurch. I've been on hold for over 50 minutes today & over the last few months will have wasted a few hours chasing up.
Another issue we have (not sure if this is standard among couriers) but they charge RD for some non RD addresses, like the main street of Waihi. Smaller towns they subcontract out.
It would make a difference if someone had called or apologised, which I'm having to do with our customers with missing parcels!
I feel sorry for the staff they have they do try to help & are being let down by others.
CHECK EVERY SINGLE CHARGE FROM FASTWAY, I GUARANTEE YOU HAVE BEEN CHARGED AND HAVE PAID FOR SERVICES THEY DID NOT DELIVER, RURAL DELIVERY CHARGES ESPECIALLY!!!
If you have an account with these guys, I HIGHLY recommend you check every single charge they send you, over the past year they have blatantly charged our company account for services they didn't deliver!! This happened more than 12 times that we know of so far, we are busy investigating it all now and we're sure we will find more.
We want to cancel all our business with them, and even though they have been Dishonest and we have proof that they were, they still refuse to credit us for our unused tickets.
Can't believe this companies policies. When an item arrives damaged but has been signed for, they won't accept a damage claim!
My item arrived damaged, Fastways had even acknowledged the damage they had done to the item themselves with a pink claims endorsement form taped to the parcel. Stating the details of the damage and incident. But because the item had been signed for on my behalf they wouldn't accept a damage claim!
What if an item arrived, was signed for but had concealed non visable damage? Only becoming apparent once unpackaged. Oh no sorry it's been signed for? Lol! What a joke!
Have been informed by other courier companies that they accept damage claims regardless of being signed for or not. Based on the fact that quite often the item needs to be unpacked and inspected to determine the condition after transit.
Good on ya Fastways! Way to own up to your mistakes.. I understand that everyone makes mistakes but following through and rectifying them goes a long way!
First and last time using and won't be sending people your way either...
wow!! shocking service. cant believe they are still in business. I was told that driver will come pick up the package and was told to be at home. I waited all day and no one turned up. Then when i emailed they said it can take 48 hours and told me to leave the package outside and driver will come pick it up and guess what it has been four days and package is still sitting outside of my house and no show. Worst ever courier service.
Hi, I live in The Bay Of Islands and have been patiently waiting for a courier delivery for the past 8 days for a package that is meant to be a 2 day delivery service ( as quoted by Fastway ). I've been tracking the package for the last 8 days even though it had been picked up by a Fastway driver 10 days ago, the customer service representative that I spoke to on the phone said "the driver must not have scanned the package when they picked it up or the label must have fallen off before the driver could scan it" .Now if this is the case how the hell did they know where my package was picked up, the time it was picked up and the delivery address. I have screen shot the tracking info on my iPad and it has travelled past the delivery address 3 times already. This Company doesn't have the right to have the name Fast in it, nor could they earn it. I buy from eBay.com in the U.S and have received packages faster and cheaper. If only CHIP FOOSE could OVERHAUL this RYDE/Company.
Extremely disappointed with their service. Probably the worst courier service I've ever come up with. Got a calling card but when I go to their website it said the calling card number is invalid so I couldn't arrange a re delivery. When I called them they were asking about a label number on the calling card but the label number field was empty on my calling card. Then they asked for the calling card number and then they said even they can't find that on their systems. After a hassle I arranged a re-delivery and they said leave the calling card signed on the front door and they will delivery the package on the next day. I waited two days but didn't get the package. Their website says they will return the package to sender if they can't deliver it to the address so I rang them and said I'll come to pick it up. It was a chair I ordered and when I go there they didn't give me any help to put that in my car. They just gave me the package. I could have just gone to the seller and pick up the package myself!
This is the worst experience I ever had. I supposed to receive my parcel 10 days ago and still have not got it.
I got a phone call a few days ago and was told the driver could not find SUNNYNOOK, COME ON!!!
PLEASE GET A PROPER DRIVER DELIVER MY PARCEL!!!
What an awful company. Recently ive had two packages sent to me in CHCH from Auckland and on both occasions have met with significant problems. I'd stronly advise looking elsewhere for a reliable courier option.
The first package was a guitar which arrived 2-3 days later than it should have (on one occasion it was dispatched with the wrong driver in CHCH so was not delivered that day...rookie). What was perhaps most concerning was the damage to the guitar even though it was wrapped in cardboard INSIDE a hardcase!!!. I cant stress enough how uselessly careless someone must have been in the guitars journey to me to cause this damage. The sender asked for reparation for the damages and was told no, Fastway were not liable. It recently cost me $70 to fix this damage.
Package two is a current issue. Again it was sent from Wellington on Saturday 3rd October and as of Friday 9th STILL HASN'T ARRIVED in CHCH. There online tracking is vitually useless. Ive called the CHCH brach on 3 occasions inquiring about the delay and whereabouts, and on TWO OCCASIONS have been told they will look into it and call back...incredibly I'm still yet to recieve the item and have NEVER been contacted back, despite being told I would. This package cost the sender $25.
My hope is that you see this and consider other options. Slothly slow delivery speed, careless handling of packages and very average customer service defines this company. Ill certainly avoid this company in the future like the plague.
Extremely unreliable and unfriendly dis-service. They failed to collect item on Friday for Saturday delivery then on Saturday refused to do the job and even dared to suggest I pay extra for another company to do it! Unbelievable.
This is at least the fourth time the same Fastway Courier driver refuses to deliver to my door. Repeatedly he leaves cards in box, often without pressing the intercom as we were home at the time. He is rude, sloppy and too lazy, and even then dumps at door, in common area, without anyone signing for the goods. The company covers up is obnoxious and waste hours of our time holding on phone and waiting for callbacks so they can callup the driver. They are aware that with a disability I cannot come to the gate without assistance. Fastway Couriers are not happy to deliver to the door and ensure the goods are delivered to a person.
We suggest you don't have anything to do with a company like this that is rude, breaks so many parcels, is beyond difficult to get hold of and doesn't do what it says it will. We are so happy to leave them and we highly recommend Parcel Express as a much better alternative. Cheaper rates, and you'll even get follow up phone calls to check if you are happy! We've had breakages and the most crazy rude comments from their staff. They are ignorant and bullies. BEWARE BEWARE.
Unfriendly customer service and courier service is not up to standard! Rung 3 times for parcels to be picked up, waited on the phone for 10minutes long each time. In the end, couriers did not pick it up! Now its my 4th time ringing up, still awaiting parcels to be picked up and sent! Its not just the Christmas period that this has happened. If not for the remaining tickets that I have to use, I wouldn't use you as my courier. Please live up to your standard as stated in your website. This is not good for me and for you.
