Community Law Waikato provide free legal services to people living in the Waikato region who could not otherwise afford a lawyer and access justice. 

Our office is based in Hamilton however we cover the entire Waikato region.

The service we provide includes legal information, advice, assistance and representation to individuals who meet our criteria (given our limited resources we focus on the absolute highest unmet need).  We also deliver legal education Waikato wide to high schools, community organisations and individuals.

We provide legal services in a wide range of areas including criminal, ACC, WINZ, tenancy, consumer, credit contracts, immigration and employment to name a few.  The key themes are poverty, debt (including welfare law), family disputes (including family violence, care of children, and separation and divorce), human rights, and crime.
