This restaurant takes you back into the journey into Vietnam, we adored the Pho Ga, Rice paper rolls and as a refreshing drink/desert: we all ordered the Cafe Vietnam:coffee with condensed milk! Nice cool environment with efficient staff, welcoming.
Great decor, location and good! Really enjoyed my dinner here and loved being able to share plates with family. Some dishes were amazing and others just weren’t entirely to our taste but overall great place.
Had an amazing meal at this restaurant, it is a bit nicer than normal Vietnamese that I have eaten before. Food was awesome, ambience was super cool and the staff were very friendly.
The price of this Vietnamese restaurant is quite expensive and the portion size is quite small. Not very authentic Vietnamese taste, wouldn't go again. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was quite relaxing.
There are no bookings or reservations taken, so if its busy you can wait some time. I found the restaurant was noisy and crowded, but i guess that shows it is popular. The food was okay, i dont really like small sharing plates, as it adds up trying to fill my husband up. We went once and havent been back.
The pork ribs were very delicious and the serving was large enough to share, shrimp salad could be spicier, and the soft shell crabs were perfect. Overall, an excellent lunch.
Delicious Street-inspired Vietnamese food! Cool atmosphere with concrete walls & paper lanterns! The food was delicious although quite pricey! Our waitress catered well to our dietary requirements - 2 vegetarians and one gluten free! Recommended!
Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted and seated amidst a very busy sea of patrons with a vibrant lively atmosphere.
The restaurant interior is very stylish with industrially exposed brick, sleek black tables, tropical plants and a ceiling lined with Asian globe paper lanterns.
Viewing the menu, it's exciting to explore dishes that express modern cuisine to old world Vietnamese, so we're had to try dishes from each.
I was most impressed with our food journey starting with prawn cakes and summer rolls to spicy squid pineapple and poached chicken green papaya salads. We finished off with prawn and pork belly Vietnamese pancake lettuce rolls and baked whole snapper.
The cuisine was exquisite and the beverages were equally satisfying. Service was impeccable and we eagerly await our next dining experience in Cafe Hanoi! Highly recommended with distinction!
Cafe Hanoi has it all: great atmosphere, top-notch service, and delicious food. I'd also highly recommend this place for anyone with gluten allergies, as the staff and kitchen is very accommodating, and I was able to eat virtually everything on the menu despite my dietary restrictions. I'd particularly recommend the soft-shell crab and squid cakes. Our waitress, Nga, was friendly,...
One of the best Viernamese fusion style restaurants I've been to in Auckland. Fresh food with real flavour, and traditionally cooked too. Excellent service - cannot fault it! Prices pretty reasonable too (around $20 a main) when you consider the overall package. Centrally located right near Britomart Train Station. A great place to eat, perfect for dinner before a show at Vector Arena, or before hitting nearby nightclubs like the Britomart Country Club.
This place is a hidden gem. One of my favourite place to eat in Auckland. What I love here is also the atmosphere, it is modern and simple. Food is excellent and I love recommending it to friends.
Lovely atmosphere & great service by staff. The food is absolutely delicious, although I found myself wishing there were more main size dishes. Would definitely recommend but more as a tapas to share kind of style menu, than a fully fledged main menu.
