My family of 5 relocated from Auckland to Noosa in January 2016. We got a few quotes to ship our entire household, a full container. Moving is such a stressful time & I was so worried I had not prepared anything prior to Ausmove coming to pack up our house. The Ausmove truck & team arrived & put me completely at ease as they explained the process & assured me that everything would be packed & ready for shipping as per our time frame. The packing team worked what seems like effortlessly to pack up our home & before we knew it our container was closed & taken away for shipping. We took out insurance with Ausmove. Their policy was cost effective & easy to complete. When we arrived in Australia we were contacted in regard to our shipment & arrival time. As we were looking for a rental property, the timing was crucial to us for the delivery of our goods. The team made the delivery of our goods so easy! They came the day & time we requested & worked relentlessly without complaint in 34 degree heat & many stairs. They did not leave until we were happy. We would like to recommend Ausmove to anyone looking for a faultless shipping company when moving to Australia. They are professional, meticulous & trustworthy. Beware using Ausmove - booked removal from Auckland to Perth and told it would take approximately 6 weeks. Packed and picked up the house on 22 October 2015 delivered 14 January 2016 so that's 11 weeks!! They use a different removal company once the goods arrive in Perth and when they delivered the items 2 items (the largest shipped; 3 seater couch and concrete outdoor table) were missing and they informed me that they weren't even on the container. Both Ausmove and 2nd removal company hadn't advised me of this even though they have to tick off each item at every step of the process. I contacted Ausmove and they said they would get back to me. After a week and another email to them they "checked their storage room" and found the missing items and said they will be on the next ship out. No real apology, no accountability at all so I asked a manager to contact me and explain how this can even happen as clearly their processes have failed. The manager emailed and all she could say was that they were busy and refunded 10% of the cost back to me. My missing goods finally arrived 15 April 2016 that's 6 months later!!!!
This wasn't the only issue, they had 3 packers come to the house and 2 of them were great at packing but 1 was really bad and you could clearly tell who packed what. They snapped apart a very expensive lamp to pack it so I had to put in an insurance claim as it was completely unrepairable. Luckily I had taken out the full cover insurance.
I am moving countries again and I have chosen another shipping company and when I explained what had happened previously they said that Ausmove have a bad reputation for bad service. I should've done more research and not just gone by the 'kind reviews' on their own website.
Your company came to my property in Riverhead to pack and collect household items to be shipped to my sister in the Gold Coast. The three men you had sent to do the job acted very professionally and courteously. They packed and loaded sixty boxes without a break. Paul their leader is an asset and credit to your company.
Very trustworthy company. They moved all our personal effects to Australia in one piece and made the whole experience stress free. Their team are extremely knowledgeable and their packers are fantastic!
