Altherm Aluminium has been manufacturing aluminium windows and doors since 1972 and at our current address since 1984.
Altherm has been the choice of architects and designers for over 30 years. Its name has become synonymous with quality and innovation and products that not only display an excellence in design but in performance as well. The current range of windows, doors and conservatories are the result of continuous refinement to reflect a design philosophy suited to the 21st century.
Altherm Retail Ltd was formed exclusively to supply and install aluminium windows, doors and conservatories into existing homes in 2002. The directors of the company realised that there was a gap in the market place for a company that only dealt exclusively in replacement windows, doors and conservatories. They now employ a full-time sales team, door canvassers and exclusive installation teams, and have now satisfied over 2500 customers in Christchurch in a very short time.
Our installations manager oversees the running of the installations teams, the programming of all installation work & liaises with the Christchurch City Council on all building & resource consent issues. We are familiar with all of the current by-laws relating to safety glass, swimming pools & second storey buildings and health and safety issues so that you as the customer don¿t need to be concerned by these details as we will make the job go smoothly for you. This gives you, the customer, not only peace of mind in knowing that your project will be handled in a way that you can be confident in, but also the knowledge that you will get the same high standard every time you deal with Altherm Retail.
All of the work undertaken by Altherm Retail has a full 5 year warranty to satisfy the needs of all of our customers. Our double glazing units have a 10 year guarantee

Totally disastrous doors. The water streams down them on a cold night, despite our use of a dehumidifier. And they have the cheek to suggest that we need to pay a lot of money to get good quality -- I don't recall the salesman telling us that his doors were cheap and nasty. Quite the opposite, as I remember. Would never ever use them again.
