      The Octagon is a small amateur theatre that puts on great shows and showcases local talent. They also have nights where you can eat a meal there, prior to the show. Live theatre is far more exciting than watching a movie. I always enjoy myself, when I go to their performances. Affordable prices too, which is an added bonus.

      The Octagon Theatre is a 50 seat theatre housed in a colonial-styled house. Productions by The Whangarei Repertory Society are staged in a lovely, intimate setting. Only four productions are done each year - usually a musical revue, a comedy and a drama or two. They are a long established amateur theatre that puts on excellent performances for the public. They also do Dinner and Shows, where you can enjoy a three-course meal with drinks, prior to the show. Well worth seeing. Highly recommended.
