Adriatic Fisheries

A typical walk in takeaway but they catch their own fish. Stopped in to buy lunch. Service was prompt, menu not overwhelming just the basics and done well! Good value and we also bought some fresh fish to cook at home.

Adriatic Fisheries is one of the better fish and chip shops in Whangarei. The batter is thin and crisp and the food is cooked well. Expect a short wait as it is a very busy shop. They also fry fish that you select from their fresh fish display as well.

Adriatic Fisheries is not only a great fish and chip shop (although they are pricier than other takeaways) but they sell fresh fish as well. There's a good range of wet fish and they often sell fish heads for making home made soup. Always busy, so the food must be good.
