Whakatane Hotel

Visited the other week for a beer with friends. Great service and good selection of pub food that have generous portions. Sometimes have live music here which is fun

Went to the ‘Craic’ Irish bar in the Cobb & Co building, big fire on inside, very cosy atmosphere, lady behind the bar was friendly and helpful
Beer was cold and house red was good, reasonable prices
Parking close by a little limited in the afternoon but not too much of a problem
Will definitely go back there

average good with ok price. the portion s were very big. had a steak dinner and had to doggy bag some. some of the special deals are very cheap

Very average, bland-tasting food that's really too expensive for the type of establishment it is, and their service could use some serious improvement - their staff hardly ever smile, and make you feel as though you're inconveniencing them when you ask a question as simple as "where's your bathroom?"
