Very good selection of beers and food. The local fish and chips was great, with local craft beer. Friendly staff, good service.

The food here is excellent, great pub grub and very good environment, a great place for an after work drink too.

We were served really quickly and I chose a favorite, and one of The Thistles specialties, lambs fry and bacon. My wife chose the special - whole sole. Mine was, as usual, excellent with chunky bacon and crisp onion rings on a mash. My wife said the sole, with lemon butter, was superb. It was cooked just right and had a delicious salad and fries on the side. The meal was topped off with a glass of desert wine. It was also delicious. Overall a very enjoyable meal, helped by friendly and helpful staff. Well worth including The Thistle Inn on your trip to Wellington.

This is a family friendly pub. It has great decor and is in the classiest area in town right next to parliament. The food is good. The staff friendly. It has quiz nights some evening and numerous dining areas. The decor is also super cool. Highly recommend if you want to go to a pace with a pub feel to it which is not found often in every corner as in the UK

Delicious dinner enjoyed in the oldest pub in Wellington. A lot of thought in the preparation of the food. The inside is well preserved with a big fireplace with a transparent floor to see inside the cellar.
