We popped in here for lunch before going to the fortress. It’s very much a local pub. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. They’ve got cool little bits and bobs all over the place. Food was good and drinks were good

It’s been a while since I have tried one of the OFB signature ‘bird’ dishes - but the Caged Bird (chicken wrapped in bacon main) last week was brilliant. Restaurant quality food when I was expecting pub food - well done OFB !! Not sure why it came with a steak knife ... it didn’t need it as it was all very tender & juicy.

An excellent example of a local pub done right. This place has a great atmosphere and friendly service. The menu is great and there are some real gems on there. Plus a craft beer tap list any bar in Wellington would be proud of. Get down there for brunch or dinner and especially if they have a beer event. You won't regret it!
