Kowhai Cafe

Food here was great! Loved the available counter food. Fantastic location with incredible view too.

Stunning views over the city. Nice cabinet food and drinks. There is also a little gelato cart at the front. It seems to be on a cruise ship route though because its often inundated with tourists!

I stop off here regularly with my whanau to grab coffee and kai mainly after battling the hill with the children. Good selection of pies, sausage rolls, cakes etc. Caramel Slice was a highlight. Also handy having a gelato section to keep the kids satisfied.

The food was good, the service was friendly. We cut costs by having one of the pre-prepared wraps and a panini, and they were really nice. The place was busy with a good vibe. The views are a bit shrouded by overgrown vegetation sadly.

Location - it is well settled on the cable car top and the view is fantastic.
Afghan Cookie - it tastes superb with crunchy yummy cereal bites in it. Chocolate favored food is always my favorite.
Flat White and Long Black - I have to say as a cafe it did disappoint me with its coffee quality. Plain and boring tastes.
Service - staff is friendly.
