      Centrally located in Welly CBD, Knit World has quite a good selection of yarns, patters and knitting supplies. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Sometimes I feel too novice of a knitter when asking my questions. Prices seem a bit high compared to some online stores.

      There is not a super diverse selection of colours and yarns--there is quite a lot of acrylic--and it doesn't appear to be overly curated (there isn't as much NZ-sourced wool as I had hoped) but it is a good basic wool shop. There aren't a lot of notions or needle selections, but it is pretty good, and the best source in the central city.
