General Info
Catherine Gollan BA. ND. DO. Catherine graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 1973 with a BA in anthropology. She moved to London in 1975, and attended the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy (now The British College of Osteopathy) from 1980 ¿ 84. She subsequently had a practice in London for 3 years working out of Neals Yard in Covent Garden as well as privately in North London. Catherine returned to NZ late in 1987 and set up in private practice in Central Wellington in 1988 where she worked until her move to Kilbirnie in 2002. Catherine has always been fascinated by the capacity of the body¿s recuperative powers, and has trained in and uses the osteopathic techniques, both cranial and structural, which work most closely with this ability. She is very interested in helping people to make better health decisions and seeks to enable this by providing good information about other choices people can make about their overall health and well-being. Anya Schumacher BSc (Hons) Ost D.O Anya graduated from the European School of Osteopathy, England in 2002 and moved to New Zealand five weeks later. She worked at the Twig Centre in Lower Hutt for two and half years before moving to Auckland. There she lectured on osteopathic principles, and tutored the 4th year students in the teaching clinic of the Masters in Osteopathy course at Unitec from 2005 ¿ 2008 before moving back to Wellington. Anya has worked at Kilbirnie Osteopaths since then. Anya was a committee member for the Osteopathic Society of New Zealand for 3 years and developed the Osteopathic Clinic Manuals now used nationwide. She was the peer group leader for Wellington from 2008 ¿ 2012. Anya utilizes all treatment modalities osteopathy has to offer from manipulation through to cranial work. Anya enjoys treating all ages with a special focus on cranial and biodynamic osteopathy.
