Hippopotamus Restaurant and Cocktail Bar

Delicious French food and a place filled with positive vibes. Design and accessories here are beautiful. Only downside is the fact that the food is quite pricey.

We visited, as a group of 6 a couple of weeks ago. The food portions were all decently sized (across sides, mains, and desserts), and the quality of the food was just fantastic. The atmosphere and decor created was stunning- very elegant. There is a decent amount of space between each table in the restaurant, so we never felt like we were impeding on anyone else's space; both physically, and on a noise level, too! The staff were very friendly, provided good info about the menu, and were very attentive, and patient. Will definitely visit again.

Love this place for a girly afternoon tea, although my mother in law and sister in law complained they took the teapot away! (they are British) awesome cocktails - have even managed to get hubby to go once!!!

I spent my wedding night in this hotel and had dinner in the restaurant the following night. It was incredible. Beautiful degustation with wine match. Excellent service and amazing menu.

Fantastic wine and cocktail list. This is a great bar for a special occasion. It's truly beautiful and you have great views out over the harbour/city.
