Chocolate Fish Cafe

Iconic Kiwi cafe. Well out of the CBD past the airport but great on a sunny day. Brilliant spot to bring the family and kids. Food and coffee is simple but always good.

Out of the way this great little restaurant has a stunning location overlooking the harbour and is worth the trip to see it. Add to that the fantastic menu with great variety of delicious meals and that makes this place a must when visiting Wellington. Obviously popular with locals so is always a good sign.

The angus beef and this fish cake burgers were absolutely lovely. This was early on a Sunday afternoon and a beautiful winters day so the cafe was very busy. Still the service was good and the wait acceptable. I should comment that the outdoor area comes complete with a children's playground and bikes and scooters for the preschoolers. This make the Chocolate Fish a great destination for families, not necessarily the best for diners seeking some peace and quiet.

One of the best cafes in Wellington. Highly recommended. Great location and plenty of space for kids. Food was brilliant. I will definitely go there again

This cafe is quite a drive away from the city but there is plenty of parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating (covered) which is great for anytime during the year. I love their burgers and signature shake, it’s delicious. Overall very popular spot
