      This substantial, Victorian theatre has been on the Stafford Street, Timaru site since 1877. The auditorium is world class with a warm ambience.The entrance foyer is a light filled space that features two grand marble staircases leading to a carpeted reception area. The Theatre Royal is home to much of Timaru's drama and performing arts. The location, size and style of the venue makes it popular with many touring shows and it makes a significant contribution to the lifestyle of the district.
