Millennium Hotel Rotorua

Great atmosfer and all round great service

Room was clean and roomy. Not the best view but thats okay. Good location to the city center within walking distance. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was okay, nothing great.

I am currently in communication with the Operations Manager at Millennium Group because I stayed at the Rotorua premises recently and the room was falsely advertised (by their own admission).

Wotif advertised a free upgrade from a standard room to a lake view room. When we arrived we went out onto the balcony and there was no lake view. I contacted the Manager only to be told that the room was a lake view room because it faced the lake but there were trees that blocked the view. The response to this was simply, We are contacting the city council to have these trees trimmed.

In the meantime, more people have checked in and out probably as disappointed as I was about their "lake view" room. I am yet to get any satisfactory response from the management other than blaming city councils and other departments of the group.

I would definitely not stay with Millennium Rotorua or any other Millennium Hotel again.
